About Product Tiers
- Product Tiers allow you to calculate discounts based on volume purchases
-
Scenarios for Product Tiers include use cases like:
- Providing a Discount based on volume of an initial purchase
- Providing a Discount based on an Add-on Purchase that includes active quantity purchased as well as increased quantity during the Add-on order
- Tiers can either calculate always using List Price, or from the Unit Price "As Sold".
- The default method is always set to calculate the Discount using List Price.
- Tiers can also be calculated using a Fixed List and Sales Price instead of a discount.
- Tier Blocks can be used to set a Fixed Block (not per unit price) rate across a Tier Threshold. In this case, the Quantity will be 1 and the Block Quantity will be the user entered quantity. The extended price will only be calculated using the Fixed Price entered for the Block Tier * Quantity 1 (not the block quantity entered).
