Product Configurations can be used for Products where you sell predefined products with many different attributes and prices only using a single Product record. Additionally, Configurations can be used for multi-dimensional prices with Tiered products. They are also a good alternative to using Tiered Pricing when you simply need a single product with multiple prices, but still need simple per unit price calculations.

This view shows the configurations attached to the "Database Core" product:  This view shows an example Configuration with Attributes for the 8 Core 16GB Configuration.  The product would then be viewed the following way in the quote line editor. All available configurations are available in the "Config" drop down.  |
Defaults:
- When a default configuration is selected, new products will be added to the line editor with that configuration selected. In the event there is no default configuration, the system will automatically add the product with the first configuration in the list.
Attributes:
- Are not required to be tied to a configuration and are for display purposes only. They can be displayed on the Order Schedule.
Curent Limitations:
- Logic is not available in Global Methods
- Prices are fixed and do take into additional variables to calculate a price
