Released in 2020, the Quote Line Editor was rewritten from the ground up to be faster and more capable. It can also handle an increased amount of Products and Bundles without the need to filter.



Running Both Editors:

In the event you would like to run both Line Editors side by side, you can access the New editor by adding the "Add/Edit Products" button at the Quote detail level. The old editor will still be accessible with the "Add/Edit Products" button on the Quote Line Related list until it is retired.


In addition, UI changes were added:

  • Mutli-Add & Remove
    • Quickly add, remove and update multiple Products or Bundles at once
  • Annualized Products
    • The editor will no longer convert Annual Pricebook entries to a monthly value. Any annualized products will now be entered and displayed with their annual price.
  • Bundle Highlights
    • All Bundles will automatically be grouped by color to make them easier to see
  • Date Management
    • With the old editor,New Business or New Contract Add-ons only utilized a Term and Start Date input. Now, you're able to enter a a Term and End Date to work backwards to the Start Date.
    • The new editor currently does not support standardize term lengths.


Process Changes

  • Pricing Changes on how Tier Override works
    • In 2018 we released the ability to change Sales Price or discount on "Tier Override" products. In order to support Annualized prices and accurately calculate tier levels, the ability to change Sales Prices is removed from products that have the "Tier Override" box selected on the Price Entry. In order to allow direct Sales Price entry, the Pricing will need to be disassociated from the Tiered pricing schedule.
