Types of criteria that can be used for displaying content:
Using the "Display Criteria" on the Order Schedule Content page, you can choose which sections are visible using the following types of criteria:
- A checkbox field on the Quote object, OR:
- The Transaction Type of the Opportunity (New Business, Existing Business, Renewal)
Using a Checkbox field:
First, you must create a checkbox field on the Quote object. It can either be a regular checkbox field, or a formula output type field. (Be sure to add it to your layout and permission it for users).
Second, once the field has been created, return to the Order Schedule Content page (You'll need to refresh if it's a freshly created field). In the Display Criteria column, select the field, and in the drop down below it, select if it should show up when the checkbox field is "True" or "False". In this example below, we are using a checkbox field called "Show Special Terms" and displaying the section when it's "True".
Another common example is to show one section when the field is "True" and a different section when it's "False". Here is how you would set that up. We are showing Special Terms when it's "True" and another regular "Terms" section when that same checkbox is "False":
If you choose a regular checkbox field that can be toggled by a user, it can also be automated through a Flow, Workflow process, or Quote term rollup.
Using a Transaction Type:
To use a transaction type to hide/display a section, select "* Transaction Type" in the dropdown. Then, select the Transaction type in the dependent dropdown that is also prefixed with a *.
