About Terms

Setting Up Terms

  • Custom terms are provided for the following types:

NOTE: "Standard Special Terms" uses a multi-select picklist that allows for multiple pieces of Language to be displayed on the Order Schedule from a single field. 
  • From the Order Schedule Setup sub-tab in the “Setup” tab, click on “Manage Terms”. This will open a new window that helps map your terms.

Mapping Terms

  • The Manage Terms page uses values from the following Quote object fields: 
    • Payment Terms 
    • One Time Terms
    • Standard Special Terms
    • Payment Method
  • To add new Terms & Language, simply add the relevant value into the field’s picklist on the Quote Object. Once added, the value will show up in the “Quote Picklist Value” field on the Manage Terms screen. 
  • Using the “Order Schedule Language” box, enter the text you would like displayed on the Order Schedule when the picklist value is selected on the Quote.  

Order Schedule Display
  • Payment, One Time Terms and Payment Method are displayed at the top of the page under the "Terms" section. If a value is not selected on the Quote, it will not be displayed in the PDF output.
  • Standard Special Terms will be grouped into the "Special Terms and Considerations" section, along with the free text "Special Terms".



NOTE: A best practice for the Standard Special Terms is to permission them for groups of users that should have the ability to use the language. The Standard Special Terms Language can not be changed by a non-admin.
