About Future Renewals

  • If enabled, upon the Booking of New or Renewal Order, the system will automatically generate a “Future Renewal”. This Renewal Opportunity will allow for the forecasting and visibility of Renewals.
  •  In conjunction with the Renewal Refresher, the Future Renewals will allow for the “Expected” or “Baseline” measurement of your Customers and book of business. Having this consistent measurement allows for quick and accurate churn reporting.
  • Renewals will only be created in the following situations:
    • New Deal being Booked
    • Renewal being Booked
    • Add-on being Booked where the Existing Contract field = NO
Enabling Future Renewal Creation
  • Under the Transaction Management Setup tab, click the box next to “Renewal Trigger”.
  • If you would like a Chatter posting on the Source Transaction that points to the Future Renewal, click “Create Chatter Post for Future Renewal”


  • Depending on your business, you may need to delay the creation of Renewals after the Opportunity is Booked. That can be setup under the "Mappings" tab and the "Renewal Creation Timing" option.
